As a Steelworks Design Engineer at Framatome, I apply my 13+ years of mechanical design experience to create and optimize steel structures for the auxiliary buildings of the Hinkley Point "C" project, one of the largest and most complex nuclear power plants in Europe. I use various software tools, such as Navisworks, RStab, Mathcad, and AutoCAD, to perform structural calculations, bolted connection design, natural frequency analysis, and 2D detailed drawing creation, following the Eurocode and ETC-C standards and specifications.
My mission is to deliver high-quality and cost-effective steelwork solutions that meet the nuclear industry's safety, performance, and sustainability requirements. I collaborate with clients, project managers, and other engineers to ensure the design meets the expectations and needs of the stakeholders. I also document and communicate the design process, risks, and outcomes, using MS Word and Excel. I am passionate about learning new skills and technologies.
