I am a product design and development specialist with a background in Mechanical Engineering. I received my degree from Northeastern University in 2011 and, since then, have worked in the medical, robotics, consumer electronics, process valve controller, and elevator device industries. With over 8 years of experience in the iterative product development process, I've gained the experience and skill set necessary - in 3D CAD, model creation, design for manufacturability and assembly, manufacturing expertise, prototyping, test development, project management, and supply chain management - to bring your ideas to life seamlessly and efficiently. No matter what - the scope/size of the project, product, or material - I can help you get it manufactured and into your hands quickly. There are no restrictions or requirements to my service, if you'd like for me to just create the design files then that's not a problem either. Please feel free to contact me with any inquiries. I'm looking forward to working with you. **Resume and design portfolio available upon request**

Native to North Dakota, I attended NDSU from 2008-2013. Enthralled with its problem solving nature, I decided to study Manufacturing Engineering in 2009, I began gathering knowledge and experience working in all aspects of the field, from concept design to fabrication, as well as business design. In the year prior to my graduation in December 2013, I worked extensively (in a team of six) to develop, design, build and test a prototype for Ion Exchange Chromatography filter packaging. After graduation instead of looking for a job like the rest of my classmates, I decided to begin work on starting my own businesses. I had aspirations of starting a prototyping/R&D company to work on some of my personal inventions and ideas. This evolved into working on a more creative project in game development, which would eventually become my company, Fortuneless Studios, LLC. Right around this time, in 2014, I received an offer to work as a Quality Engineer for the Fortune 100 company, John Deere. After 9 months with this company, I parted on good terms with the intent to focus on Fortuneless Studios, LLC. While I enjoy working on game development everyday, I still miss the problem solving aspect of engineering work, which was the whole reason I got into Manufacturing engineering in the first place. I have extensive knowledge with PTC Creo including part design, assemblies, and engineering drawings. I also have a small home shop for potential prototype fabrication (depending on complexity). Work Terms Communication: ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ Hours: E-mail 24/7, availability depends on workload (40 hr/wk) Payment Terms: No project is created equal. Pay can be negotiated. General estimation for wage/hr: Large Scale - $25+, (Full scope design, many models/drawings, fabrications or long term projects). Mid-range - $15-$25, (Simple device, a few parts, or short term projects). Small Scale, $10. (Simple design, consultation, or individual parts/models)

I am a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's of science in mechanical engineering. I graduated magna cum laude with a GPA of 3.74 out of 4. There are a few things that separate me from the average university graduate, however. My senior capstone design group won the Cummins Design award for top performance. This award is distributed by representatives of the same Cummins famous for diesel engines, and is given to one capstone group each semester. Secondly, while many of my peers obtained at most three semesters of co-op and internship experience, usually none, I obtained five semesters worth of industry experience. Thirdly and finally, in my own time I work on small engineering projects. To date I have researched, designed, and developed a small hovercraft, a remote control zeppelin, a small coil gun, a motorized bicycle, a microwave spot welder, and smelting of aluminum in a home-built furnace. Currently I am working on designing and building a motorcycle from scratch. I have formal training in Lean manufacturing, with some experience before the training in implementation of lean principles (without knowing I was implementing a Lean philosophy). Other areas where I have extra formal training are: AutoCAD and Inventor parametric design softwares, design for manufacturing, and micro/nano-electromechanical systems.

I have always enjoyed tinkering with things. I remember my first success: In sixth grade I took apart a fully-functional remote controlled car and after putting it back together I was so excited that it actually worked! That success started a lifetime in the engineering world. I went on to get a BS in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Minnesota. I was fortunate in my career to be exposed to many parts of the manufacturing world - concept design, prototyping, design-for-manufacturing, material selection, metal and plastic molded part design, quality-by-design, 6-sigma, 5S, manufacturing machinery and processes, CAD 3-D design, CFD and FEA, and project management. Now I'm applying my skills to your project. Whether you're project is early concept, manufacturing launch, or somewhere in between, I will apply my education, experience, and creativity to your project, on-time and within budget - Mathew Torgerson

Hello my name is Brice and I'm currently a stay at home dad who is looking to do part time drawings for your company. I have six years of 3D modeling experience and will be glad to provide you with a professional drawing that exceeds your needs. I was a manufacturing engineer at Bosch Rexroth for four years before my family decided it was best for me to stay home to help with the kids. I designed applications that helped improve the efficiency of the production workers as well as adjusted layouts. I designed equipment from small safety guards to upgrading an old system that used acid and Dot markers to mark our products to a laser that did both processes in one in half the time. I look forward to working with you.

Hello! I'm a recent graduate looking to gain experience and develop my skills. I have experience in product design and LEAN manufacturing. I've worked with sheet metal, milling, and turning to design everything from custom hardware to electronics enclosures. I apply DFM principles to reduce scrapped parts and cost. I thoroughly enjoy learning how things are made and strive to find the best method for each piece I design. I have used LEAN principles to reduce waste and create JIT manufacturing environments. I have increased throughput 3X by applying these principles and analyzing the assembly process. In all these activities I strive for transparency and open communication. Please feel free to contact me with your next project!
