Bitumen Melter/Decanter

In this project, my role is to convert conventional 2-D drawings of "Bitumen Melter/ Decanter" into 3-D model and modify the design as per client requirement. On top of that, Automatic loading and unloading system was designed to load bitumen barrels into decanter. Linkages, Pivot points and kinematics of system is involved in my design process.The implementation of hydraulics system was the key part of the project. Learned many key factors like required actuating force of hydraulic cylinders,skin friction, safety factor and importance of design factors. For final deliverable, as per requirement of fabricators and welders, 2-D drawings of new improved design are generated.
