Chandpui Residence

Located at Shokipura, Kachua, Chandpur, is a family residence. The site was inherited by the client and included a natural pond use by all the relatives living around. During site visit the clients mother and other relatives welcomed us into their home and rained us with heart warming hospitality. During the design discussion we coiled the question of the right home the family needs now and for the future generation. Just like the current home the growup in, we wanted the new home to have all the spaces. The trees and interaction with the surrounding nature, we wanted all those spaces to be actively present in the new home. The courtyard being a grassland just like the one they have now. We included the pockets of open to sky spaces in the new home just like the one they grew up in.
