DUROWORKS-VASHON WTBJ - Generative Design and Optimization of an Aircraft Wing-To-Body-Joint

Demo Project—This aircraft WTBJ was originally designed using a conventional Human-centric process and redesigned using an AI-centric process to demonstrate that the new part can be superior. In this case, a 25% weight reduction was achieved while keeping the original intended function, strength, and stiffness. The result is produced in an organic shape for Additive Manufacturing and a prismatic shape for CNC Machining.
