Electrode Steam Generator for Autoclaves for Canned Food.

It took almost a year to build this Electrode Steam Generator. I handled the mechanical part while my brother wrote the program, and another guy assembled the electronic hardware. Before its construction, steam was generated by an ancient Soviet coal boiler. It was old and had low efficiency. It required constant maintenance, cleaning, and additional personnel to throw coal into the furnace. Now, steam is generated with electricity (when the factory still has some), and the process is fully automated. And as the "cherry on top," there's no more pollution. Yeah, yeah, I know it’s just shifting the pollution source from the factory to the power plant, but I like to think that we're drawing our energy from a pollution-free source, like a hydro power plant, etc. =).
