In a group of five, a Hay Bale Hoist capable of lifting 700 lbs of load was designed. Requisites included the integration of a worm gear set with self-locking ability as well as a secondary (backup) self-locking system.
My distinct responsibilities were:
-Conceptualizing the design of the hoist and preparing the CAD assembly model of the concept
-Preparing a CAD assembly model of the concept
-Collaborating with the team regularly to discuss potential design issues and amendments and to integrate changes into various CAD model revisions throughout the design process
-Sizing an appropriate AC motor for operation
-Preparing a CAD assembly model of final design
-Preparing part drawings and assembly drawings that can be clearly interpreted by a manufacturer
