Hilton Head Residence

The rhomboid shaped lot is so narrow and it was hard to develop layout to provide all clients needs and desires. This affordable modern house was designed as a two-storey in order to make best use of the narrow site. The transparency of the front façade encourages 'eyes on the street' and active engagement with neighbours while providing a sense of belonging to the community. The design takes advantage of the expansive site and southern exposure, while the existing heavily vegetated perimeter preserves privacy.
