We were asked to design a mechanism for picking and dropping objects for any airborne vehicle inspired by a biological organism. We came up with a unique idea for the mechanism, inspired by the human hand, octopus tentacles, and pincers. The final design we submitted was a very detailed 800-component design with multi-role capabilities.
