Conceptualized and designed as a part of national project of gradual-investment housing solutions for low-income families. This is typical single residential house for the displaced persons. The size of the house is designed according to the national requirements and the number of family members. The design process start with household data collection, and continues with site survey, existing house condition assessment, architectural conceptual design, detailed design and specifications, cost estimate, construction management and monitoring of implementation.
The proposed project design was a single detached house for a young family of four. The site is located within a pristine and natural setting near Turanj. The efficient and compact floor layouts offer excellent views to the ravine. The Main Living area with its transparency allows you to visually engage with the immediate landscape and surrounding environment. The main volume is an open and efficient lineal arrangement of rooms comprised of the Kitchen, Dining and Living area, and on opposite side are two bedrooms and one bathroom.
The exterior walls are made of concrete masonry units coated with thermal and vapour insulation, and finished with adhered concrete masonry veneer or stucco. The interior walls are made of concrete masonry units 4" thick, plastered and painted.
