STANAG Scope Base

Underside view of STANAG scope mount for Remington rifles. This was designed in Rhino and the tool Paths created in MadCAM. The emphasis here is on the contour of the underside of the rail. The bottom has been stepped, to allow for variations in receiver height, while facilitating bedding compound. There is also a channel down the center to prevent high centering on burs around the receiver mounting holes. Most of the time spent on this project, was spent on this contour.
