5 Innovative Invention Ideas by Cad Crowd Designers

With CAD, innovators can design just about anything they can think of. Have an idea for a cool new water bottle? Design it in CAD! What about a high-tech photo frame? You can make that in CAD too.

Cad Crowd’s talented designers are always submitting innovative inventions to our gallery. Every so often, a few designs will peak our interest and we just have to share them with you. They’re just a few of the unique and refined creations that our designers come up with—there’s always more in our gallery.

With that said, here are five awesome invention ideas made by our designers.

1. SUNRISE ALARM CLOCK BY R.DESIGN

Waking up to a loud alarm isn’t anyone’s idea of a happy morning, which is why artificial sunlight alarm clocks have been such a success. However, most of the designs you’ll find for sale are quite ugly and box-like. Who wants to ruin the feng shui of their bedroom with a distasteful alarm clock?

This alarm clock has an appealing globe shape with large, easy to read text displaying the time. It’s designed to use a wireless charger, so it doesn’t run on batteries that you have to constantly replace and it’s not limited by a power outlet. What makes it even better is that there’s a slot on the back where you can place your phone, so you know exactly where it is when you wake up in the morning.

2. SWISS ARMY KNIFE WITH USB DRIVE BY WFAZACKERLEY

What better way to take the Swiss army knife into the next generation than by having it include a USB drive. We’ve all been in situations where we wished we had that emergency USB to save some files. Or, maybe you just constantly lose your USB drives because they’re small and easily misplaced.

Swiss army knives aren’t regularly used, but they’re “just-incase” items that everyone should carry with them—a USB drive fits right in.

3. MODERN DESIGN 12V FAN BY AAD

Fan designs are usually pretty uninspired and relatively boring. They are designed to blend into the background and not stand out. But this fan design is sleek, eye-catching, and would look good in most homes. You’ll want to put this fan somewhere everyone can see it.

Besides the aesthetic appeal, it features a fully adjustable stand that can be re-positioned. The fan itself is also on its own axis, so it can be adjusted without moving the stand. It’ll feel great to have this in your room cooling you off.

4. BED TENT BY DESIGNASSIST

Say goodbye to sleeping in uncomfortable and awkward tents when you camp and hello to this bed tent. It’s a future-forward design that brings the comfort of your bedroom to the campground. The bed tent is designed to use two fiberglass rods and a corner bracket to keep itself up. The tension created by the rods keeps the tent taut, minimizing the number of poles needed. Not having to struggle to build tents is truly the future.

5. PLASTIC SOUP CONTAINER WITH SPOON BY THANOS ZIOZIAS

We’ve all had those moments where we pulled out our cup of noodles or to-go soup and realized we forgot our spoon. This designer clearly has, and he’s created the soup container of the future so it never has to happen again. A compartment naturally extends off of the soup cup and holds a plastic spoon. The foodie in me loves this!

Have these designs inspired you to get to work creating your own product of the future? At Cad Crowd, we have designers who would be privileged to work with you and help design your model in CAD. Let’s get the ball rolling! Simply contact us for a free quote.
