What Cad Crowd’s 3D Designers Have Been Up to This Week

We’ve got no shortage of talented 3D modelers and CAD designers at Cad Crowd, and they’re always up to something. With different skill sets, interests, and backgrounds, they’re always working on a wide range of projects. From industrial product design to engineering and CAD drafting, the Cad Crowd community runs the gamut. Here’s just a small sampling of what some of our designers have uploaded to the gallery over the past week.

1. 3D Scanned Sculpture 3D Printing Design by Engineering & Computer Solutions

3D scanning is another emerging technology that can really enhance the capacities of 3D printing design. 3D scanners allow the CAD designer to get a 3D model of an existing physical object, like the one above, without having to create the thing by hand. With a little bit of tweaking and cleanup, that digital model can be sent to a 3D printer and voila, you’ve recreated an existing object. Not only does this have artistic merits, like in this example here, but in the future it will allow regular folks to easily replicate items they might need in their home or workplace.

2. Brass Hanger 3D Modeling Design by Cubovich

Now if that isn’t just the fanciest coat hanger you’ve ever seen, then I just don’t know what. You’d need to have some pretty dashing clothes to justify a hanger of with that degree of elegance. This ain’t no IKEA hanger, is what we’re getting at. An interesting project that displays rendering and post-processing skills. And probably the only coat hanger design we’ve had so far on Cad Crowd.

3. Sci Fi Mechanical Part 3D Modeling Design by Sergui.Nasta

This impressive piece of machinery isn’t an actual thing. But it is a pretty impressive demonstration of the 3D modeling skills of one of Cad Crowd’s finest. The concept is creative, the rendering is spectacular, and the level of detail is pretty amazing. This sci-fi device would be a great feature in a video game or film.

4. Painless Gynecological Device Medical Product Design by MICHAEL DIMOU

From science fiction to science, here we have an example of a new medical device concept. Whether it would be as painless as advertised, I can’t say. But I’m sure there’s a large segment of the population that would appreciate the development of such a device.

5. Helmet 3D Modeling Design by Cad Geek

Here’s a simple and sleek full-face motorcycle helmet design (with a pretty rad logo splashed on the side, one might add). A fantastic, realistic looking render from another one of our all-star designers. Proof that a simple design executed well can be just as impressive as any complex or sophisticated model.

6. Hairbrush Collection 3D Modeling Design by REDA

REDA enjoys designing quirky, playful objects, and this cute assortment of brushes is no exception. A clever and fun design, beautifully rendered. This designer has a penchant for designing cartoony objects for the real world.
