Description:
Please note that in this project I am looking to develop a one item, for my own use. Not a mess production.Looking for a product designer with experience in mechanical medical device to produce a physiotherapy electric device for a drop-foot training. This includes the planning of the mechanics and the ergonomics of the device.
The tool should be wearable on foot so that it can keep folding foot up and back - so it train the dorsiflexor muscles. Electric engine should be powerful enough to keep pulling the foot up and released repeatedly. This device is for training the muscles only and should be active when the person is on rest, in bad or while sitting.
Additional features will be discussed and incorporated if possible. Designer must use Standard software. Drawings and assembly BOM's are also a requirement of the finished job.
Attached is an image on which you see the active muscles in lifting the foot.
This job will be focused primarily around the "foot lifting" action only - with simple aim to make those muscles active while the body is on rest.
Connectivity to electricity is possible.
I am not experience with such production and so I would need your help with understanding the game plan here. The stages, the time and the cost.
I would prefer it if you cans help me with production as well.
Additional points (1)
1. practicing the foot to go up can come from pulling or from pushing
inpiration for pushing:
www.alimed.com/comfy-spring-loaded-ankle-foot-orthosis.html
inspiration for pulling:
s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/0a/c2/b4/0ac2b4f8b77446ab965a3286441757cd.jpg
I am not sure which is better.
2. device should function nicely when
- I lie down on the bed wearing it.blanket over the legs.
- I sit on the sofa with leg up on the ottoman.
3. Charged battery that will last for around one hour is making sense
4. how hard to pull/ push?
pull your foot up as much as you can. This should be the range and a bit more so I develop flexibility.
5. special attention need to put on the angle of the foot. When pulling the foot up - it need to pull the foot evenly - food wide.
take.ms/ltQX0 - side 1 and side 2 of the foot need to be pulled up evenly - on not side 1 more than side 2
6. Not sure how to price the project. Need your advice.
7. I prefer to use the most modern/ reliable/ long lasting technical parts so the device can function for the next 20 years.
Wants:
i would need your help with figuring out what are the evaluation criteria. I am looking to learn from the process, understand the technical spec and make sure that we chose the best possible materials, engines, attributes and so on.
Don't Wants:
I would like brief plan that I can not understand.
Software:
- not sure

Open Air Photo Booth
To design an "open-air" photo booth that is modern and clean in appearance as well as minimal and compact in function. The design can either be modular or as one piece but absolutely must be light weight, very durable and very portable. In terms of appearance, think apple products such as the ipad, imac, etc. If the design is modular, there will need to be cases designed to go along with the pieces or the modules must fit in commonly available cases. In terms of materials, I am open to any and everything but again, they most be light, strong, durable, not show a lot of wear and not too expensive to work with.
Wants:
All designs must incorporate these necessary components:
- A Ring Flash (10" diameter, 9.5" depth, weighs aprx. 5lbs) Photo attached
- A DyeSub Printer (10.7" W, 6.6" H, 13.3" D, weight 24 lbs.) Photo attached
- An Ipad or touchscreen monitor of similar size
- A secondary monitor any size from 10"-19"
- A Mac Mini (7.7" W, 1.4" H, 7.7" D, 2.7 llbs)
- A second ipad
For the camera element / user interface, the ring flash and one ipad/touchscreen monitor must be facing the customer and combined into one module/unit. (The actual DSLR camera mounts to the ring flash with the lens sitting in the center of the ring flash.) This unit would also house the Mac mini and possibly the secondary monitor. The mac mini should be hidden from view. The secondary monitor can be on the side or back of the camera module but in full view to the customer. The lens of the camera will need to sit at 43" from the ground (at it's lowest setting) and be able to be raised to 53" and 58" off the ground (at its highest setting.) This can be an adjustable height mechanism that allows for any height desired in between those specs or by using 2-3 different length adjustments that can be interchanged. It must be on a stable design that will not easily be tipped over. There will need to be a hidden door/access in order to power on the internal components, adjust camera settings, etc.
For the printer, it can be housed in the same unit as the camera but if you decide to go this route, the entire unit must be as small and light weight as possible. Otherwise, if you go the modular route, it can be in it's own module or combined with the secondary ipad into it's own module. The printer must be at least 22" off of the ground when being used. The printer is the most delicate of all components so where ever it's placed, it absolutely must be secured and safe from being knocked over. It also must be easily accessed from the front since it has a sliding drawer that opens when the paper and ink are changed. The printer has to be physically tethered via usb cable to the mac mini, so keep that in mind.
The secondary ipad's purpose is for customers to be able to use and interact with it. It will need to be at a comfortable height for the average adult user. It can be paired with the printer or if with the camera, the camera module must be 100% stable and able to take the abuse from customers using the ipad without affecting the front components.
With all of these components, they need to look seamless. No hinges or screws or other hardware or cables visible. Ideally the entire set up would be primarily white with accents of red and/or aluminum. Very clean, very modern, very simple.
It's imperative that the design can withstand countless drunk customers, be very stable, not get damaged or scratched (beyond repair) and all break-down/packed up to easily fit into the trunk/boot of a mid-sized car. It can pack down to one easily transportable case or 3 modules maximum. If one, it must be easy and secure to move, ideally with wheels.
These components will be set up in all sorts of different locations from private residences, ballrooms, lobbies, back yards, etc. hence the reason it needs to be light weight, compact and durable as well as adjustable.
I have attached a pdf showcasing several different versions of "open-air" photo booths to give you some ideas of what's being done and how much of it could be improved upon.
Beach Home
I have completed plans for new home but wife does not like exterior mediteranian look. She wants more modern but not to plain or stark. I need ideas that retain basic design , windows etc but has different exterior look
Training center facility 3D Drawing
I need a 3D drawing of the interior of a building I will be converting into a training center.
This 3D drawing need to paint a picture of a training room about 4k sqft concrete floors with trainees standing behind Electronic Assembly workbench and standing on plastic floor mats, two per table 5 tables per roll and 7 rolls. Also large pictures on the wall of CAD drawings. A Stage with a podium of a person behind it and Projector with circuit board.
Glass chip with organ compartments
I would like a concept rendering of a 'glass' chip with abstracted body compartments containing organ cell material similar to attached image (1). These compartments should be embedded in a chip looking similar to (2), i.e. a transparent glass cartridge with openings and visible 'organs'. Maybe with rounded edges. Ideally, components and connecting channels should have a similar look and feel like (3). The compartments can be slightly abstracted, if necessary, maybe not quite as drastic as (4). The individual should somewhat reflect the organs they represent, this can be idealized. I need the model in some standard file format and a photo realistic rendering image in hi-res from a roughly 45 degree angle similar to perspectives in (1) or (2). The image is used for a marketing presentation. Dimensions roughly 2in x 3.5in x 0.5in, but I'm flexible. The rendered image should be somewhere around 2500 x 1400. On pure white background.
Design for mini-WiFi Router - Product in Big Box Retail Q1 2016
This project is for a small WiFi router plastic injection mold that needs to look like a "shield". The PCB (circuit board) is:
2.5 inches in length
1.5 inches in width
.5 (half an inch) at its highest point
We have included three screenshots of the current injection mold which needs to be redesign. These are JUST for reference to see what the current plastic mold looks like:
current-injection-mold-1.jpg
current-injection-mold-2.jpg
current-injection-mold-3.jpg
We have also included a screenshot of the PCB (circuit board) titled:
pcb-1.jpg
Please note that on that pcb-1.jpg screenshot there are two antennas or wires with green rectangles. Those will be "stuffed" into the mold and have no requirements as far as plastic pieces that need to house or hold them. We will just be pushing them into the hollow area of the mold between the PCB and plastic.
What we are trying to do is change our current mold into a plastic shield. Our request is to have a plastic "shield" designed that can house the PCB. This may require the design of the shield to be thicker in height to properly hold the PCB. What we are looking for is AutoCAD design comps of what the new injection mold could look like as a shield, using the very basic dimensions we have outlined above.
In regards to the design, we have attached a PDF titled:
concept-shield-spec-sheet.pdf
This is a VERY basic spec sheet and "concept" design of a shield that we created in house. You do not need to make the design look exactly like this. This spec sheet is just "ideas" we had for a design that would look like a shield and fit the PCB. Designers have full creative freedom to come up with some designs that fit the PCB.
We have attached four screenshots of shield designs we like from a company called Vmoda: http://v-moda.com/over-ear-shields/ On that link, the designer can find MANY more ideas on shields V-moda's website all of which we like. Please note that V-moda is just an example of shield designs we like. We know they are a headphone company and have nothing to do with us other than we like their designs. The screenshots are titled:
shield-ideas-1.jpg
shield-ideas-2.jpg
shield-ideas-3.jpg
shield-ideas-4.jpg
We LOVE these designs and think they could easily work with our PCB which would be underneath the shield. Designers have creative freedom when it comes to the texture on top of the shield, color and most everything else. If the designer so desires, we would even be open to adding additional "non-plastic" elements to the shield design such as "chrome inlays" or "metal edging" etc. This is not a requirement. We just want everyone to know that they can add other materials to the design if they think it will really make the product standout.
We do also ask that the designer incorporates our logo into the design of the shield. Our logo is attached in both PSD and PNG format and titled:

Thanks!
