Description:
We are seeking an external design office or individual specializing in the preparation of comprehensive design documentation related to the production of urban architectural elements such as benches, bins, planters, and sun loungers. We are looking for a partner with experience in designing sheet metal components and their developments. The work primarily involves CAD software, but experience with SolidWorks would also be a significant asset.
Comprehensive project execution consists of two stages. Firstly, the creation of conceptual documentation for client approval. In the second stage, detailed executive documentation is to be produced.
I am sending an example of the completed project upon request
Wants:
1. Preparation of General Project Outline for approval:
• Determine material grades, thickness, solutions, and technological capabilities.
• Establish optimal sheet metal developments and prepare an initial division of elements based on the most efficient material usage and agreements regarding, for example, the sizes of corner elements.
• Propose basic structural/technological solutions necessary for preparing documentation in a way that provides the client with all necessary information required for approval at this stage of the project.
• Minimize less critical technical details and solutions to potentially optimize correction time if needed.
• Verify the completeness of the project, which should include: Material specification/grade/surface finish Plans, sections, basic details, additional necessary sketches if required for concept approval

2. Detailed Preparation of Production Documentation:
• Verify the correctness of the accepted conceptual documentation.
• Analyze material usage optimization in terms of developments and detail division.
• Prepare estimated material requirements: sheet metal and wood (or other materials with longer lead times for procurement or fabrication if applicable).
• Design structural, executive solutions, and all necessary details.
• Prepare dimensions, diagrams, plans, sections, detail developments, and division of elements.
• Mark all unique details for easy identification before assembly.
• Compile DWG/DXF files for CNC programming.
• Compilation of production elements enabling sheet metal processing, assembly, and welding.
• Verify the real material requirements for all necessary materials.

Hydroplane Challenge
I have made a prototype of the attached drawings but the gears didn't have enough torque and the wheels slipped on wet floors. I made the following changes to the prototype I built: 1. I duplicated the front Wheels (Part #23) to replace the back wheels (Part #3) 2. I duplicated the Roller GearWheel V2 (Part#9) to make the back wheels work the same as the front wheels 3. I duplicated the Reducing Gear (Part #24) to connect the new back wheels to the gear mechanisms The gear torque works great now but the 4 wheels still don't have enough surface contact to stop slipping on the wet floor. I believe all 4 wheels need to be wider to have more surface contact to stop them from slipping (hydroplaning). Challenge: I need the wheels to (#23) to be as wide as possible and change as LITTLE as possible to the rest of the parts and avoid extra costs. I am pretty sure I will need to re-print the Reducing Gear (#24) to make the wider wheels work with them. If I have to adjust the holes on the Plate (#7), I would like to do it with a drill instead of reprinting them. I am hoping there will not be any changes needed to Roller GearWheel V2 (#9)
Sheet metal deign by solidworks
Design Sheet Metal Die and Simulate/Analyses material using Solidworks Optimize product design as per tool needs and make suitable changes for best results and costs. Part file of Solidworks will be provided.
Stackable dresser
I have provided a basic design of a piece of furniture that I would like to provide to a CNC fabricator to be cut out for assembly. I need my Powerpoint sketches turned into a 3D design and the component pieces layed out for cutting on the two pieces of plywood to be used. This design will be sent to the CNC fabricator for cutting.
4 simple CAD 3D print ready items required (drawing supplied) - ongoing work
We have 4 items that we can knock up in sketch up in about an hour. However, sketch up doesn't handle recesses or chamfer very well. We are looking for these 4 items (2 are incredibly simple) to be made print ready for us to print, test and revise.
3D CAD Revision Of Skull & Snake
I need a simple revision of this design. It was created in SolidWorks but I guess it can be revised in any 3D CAD software as long as the file is saved .STEP. A mold will be made from this in a CNC Milling Machine but as it is now can't be made because there is a space between the snakes body and the top of the skull. The body of the snake has to move down. See attachment 2 for exact position. You can download the original STEP file to work on. It is the first attachment but might take a few minutes as it is a large file.
