How to propose a new job contract

One of the advantages of working as an expert on the Cad Crowd platform is the ability to foster long-term collaborations. You can easily send your client a new contract proposal after you have completed an existing project.

You can send your client a new job contract and update the work proposed work terms for their consideration. After reviewing your new contract terms, the client may accept, decline, or modify your work proposal.

You can also propose a job contract with a new client by clicking the Propose contract link at the top of your message.

Send new job contract proposals to current clients

You can send a new contract proposal to one of your current clients on the following pages:

  • Inbox: Click Send a proposal link at the top of the client’s message in your inbox
  • My contracts: Go to My contracts > click ••• dropdown (to the right of a client contract) > select Send a proposal

New contract proposal rules

Here are the rules for proposing a new contract to a client:

  • Proposal limits: The platform won’t allow you to send multiple job contract proposals to a specific client simultaneously.
  • Past clients: You can send a proposal to a client who previously hired you for a job contract and paid one or more of your invoices on Cad Crowd.
  • New clients: When a potential client has found your profile with the freelancer search and sends a message to your inbox.

Client notifications for new contract proposals

The client gets an email alert and user inbox notification when you send a new job contract offer. Your proposal shows on the client’s My contracts dashboard.

The client may accept, modify, or reject your new job contract offer.

Withdraw your job contract proposal

After sending the proposal to a client, you cannot modify an existing contract proposal. You can withdraw and resend a new contract offer to the client as a workaround. In addition, you can withdraw your contract proposal if you decide to cancel your offer.

Steps to withdraw your pending contract proposal:

  1. Visit My applications
  2. Choose your proposal’s name in the Pending job offers area
  3. Click the Withdraw button

Note: You may send your client a new proposal after canceling a pending contract offer.

Questions and answers

âš¡ Can I change an existing job contract offer after it’s sent to a client?

Your job contract offer cannot be edited after you send it to a client. You must withdraw the current proposal and resend a new contract offer to a client.


âš¡ How do I send a new job contract offer to a client?

You can send a proposal to the client by selecting the Send a proposal link at the top of the client’s message in your inbox.

Alternatively, you can send an offer to an existing client by visiting My contracts > click ••• dropdown (right side of a contract name) > select Send a proposal


âš¡ Why can’t I send a new contract proposal to a client?

The most likely reason you can’t send a new job contract offer to a client is due to a pending contract offer. You can only send one contract offer at any given time. If you want to send a new offer, you must withdraw the existing pending job application.
