About the job
The position is for an electrical technician or electrical engineer to design electrical wiring diagrams (also referred as electrical schematics) for a variety control panels in automation applications.Given a job description and basic components, such as HMI, PLCs, servo and VFD drives, the engineer/technician is to perform the following work: 1. Design panel layout for the components: placement, wire guideways, ventilation, safety circuits. 2. Select the rest of the panel components needed, such as panel, disconnect switches, circuit breakers, line filters, power distribution terminals, signal distribution terminals, wire guideways, DIN rails, ventilation components. 3. Design the complete wiring diagram: input power, IO connections as terminal blocks and cables to outside the panel, wiring inside the panel. 4. Generate a complete Bill of Material (BOM). 5. List tools needed to do the panel assembly. 6. Develop a panel testing and verification procedure to be conducted and documented upon completion of the panel build
