I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. Since then, I have been in the consumer products industry as a mechanical engineer for the last 17 years. I worked at Allen-Bradley and Motorola and presently am at Optimal Design, a design firm, for 12 years. I have worked on injection molded plastics, sheet metal, die cast parts etc ranging from routers to power tools to cell phones to tupperware. I have extensive experience with the 3D CAD software Creo (was Pro/Engineer) and Solidworks. Lastly, I am a licensed professional engineer in Illinois.

Design Anomaly Inc. is a product design and engineering firm started in 2013 with a focus on developing simple, innovative solutions to unique problems. As an independent consultant, my background is in mechanical and electrical engineering, machine design, packaging design, design for manufacture, injection molded component design, and product development. I have a passion for design and engineering and can offer experience from a wide variety of project backgrounds. I spent 6 years as a product development engineer designing and building complex screw driven material testing systems including both prototype and production units. I've also consulted on numerous projects in various industries including packaging, chemical dispensing, and toys. Currently, my capacity includes consulting, joint development, design collaboration, and prototype development and evaluation.
