Research Student (School of Civil Engineering) University of Leeds · Jun 2018 – Jul 2018 1 mos Leeds, UK - Undertook the Structural Optimisation modelling and Finite Element Analysis testing of the node-connection found in Reticulated Structures using the software tools ABAQUS and Fusion 360 to produce a new breed of bespoke and lightweight node-connections.

- Carried out the structural modifications needed for 3D-Printing these optimised node-connections using the software tool MeshMixer to prove the applicability of this entire design and manufacturing process.
Summer Placement (Transportation Team) Sweco · Aug 2017 – Sep 2017 1 mos Leeds, UK Worked on the A1 and A47 schemes and undertook the following tasks:
- Performed structural calculation checks for the Concrete and Steel Reinforcement of a retaining wall design in the A1 scheme in accordance with BD 21/01, BD 44/15, BD 30/87, BS 5400-4 and BS 4449:1997.
- Undertook entry path radius check for a roundabout in the A47 scheme in accordance with TD 16/07.
- Carried out changes to AutoCAD drawings as requested by CAD technicians and drainage and highway engineers.
- Calculated rainwater flow rates at manholes in the A1 Scheme based on AutoCAD contour maps and levelling data.
Summer Placement (Fire Safety Engineering Team) Arup · Jul 2017 – Aug 2017 1 mos Leeds, UK Worked on three initial stage fire strategy design projects (Stages B & C) and undertook the following tasks:
- Occupancy, travel distances and vertical and horizontal escape design calculations.
- Structural and fire door compartmentation of the buildings in accordance with BS 9999, BS 9991 and Approved Document B (ADB).
- Created several mark-up fire escape scenarios within the buildings for use in the fire strategy reports.
- Reviewed and annotated floor plan drawings of buildings using appropriate codes and Software Bluebeam Revu.
- Prepared the main Stage B sprinkler system report in accordance with BS EN 12845:2015 for one of the projects.
- Composed the main Stage C fire strategy report for one of the projects.
Research Student (School of Civil Engineering) University of Leeds · Jun 2017 – Jul 2017 1 mos Leeds, UK - Prepared a literature review study and wrote a technical paper on a project aimed at reviewing the applicability of designing and fabricating the node-connections found in Reticulated Structures using Structural Optimisation and Additive Manufacturing (3D-printing) based on the state-of-the-art of these technologies in the industry.

The University of Leeds, UK Bachelor of Engineering (BEng), Civil and Structural Engineering, 1st Class Honours (80%, Ranking: 3rd) 2016 – 2019 Activities and Societies: Noticeable Activities: - Undertook two CAD, Structural Optimisation and design for 3D printing placements at my university on a bespoke steel connection design. - Hiking volunteer for two years at my university to promote health awareness amongst the student community. - Worked as a course representative volunteer at my school to improve the student experience for my cohort. A highly motivated and dynamic civil and structural engineering graduate with a strong passion for Computer Aided Design (CAD) and analysis of structures.

Other experience

Leadership Training in South Korea (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology - KAIST) A Leadership Training Programme organised by the "Common Purpose" organisation in collaboration with University of Leeds and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) which was held in Daejeon, South Korea. This year's programme was prepared around the theme of understanding the influence of Artificial Intelligence and Technology on Societies. This programme was aimed at developing general leadership skills of a handful of candidates from a highly competitive pool through attending self-development training seminars and visiting headquarters of various multinational companies. This opportunity allowed me to meet with and learn from the leaders of these companies.
