X-Scout

Concept development, prototyping and testing of a sailing coaching electronic aid and its user interface. The X-scout is a complete training feedback device for sailing athletes and coaches. It operates with a combination of sensors, transmission units, receiver and graphic UI. I developed this project together with other 5 colleagues. The starting point of the project was a first iteration of the product, which was in proof-of-concept stage. We aimed to improve the product’s weight, aesthetics, performance, and UI. The outcome of the project was a fully functional system, which included a fully engineered water-tight and shock-resistant casing for the electronic components, and a fully working UI with different features to help coaches and athletes improve their performance.
