Description:
We are looking for a creative and skilled product designer to design an innovative Photobooth that looks different to anything already in the market. This is a project-based opportunity to create something sleek and modern in design, whilst also being functional for a nightclub type environment (i.e it must be designed with hard wear and tear in mind!)

Our company specialises in creating and supplying permanent install Photobooths, currently in 3 different countries and looking to expand further . The focus of this project is on concept and innovation, our current Photobooths have a wind machine built into the equipment section of the Photobooth to blow through the fascia and give that wind swept model look to users, this is a feature we'd love to retain. If you have any other innovative ideas you think would work well in a Photobooth, then we'd also love to hear/see these!

The ideal Photobooth will be able to break down into pieces for transport and installation, ideally with the section housing all of the equipment being one piece, so the unit can be fitted out with components and wired up prior to going out for installation.

We have had a concept render done, which you can use a a bit of inspiration, but we are very open to other ideas/concepts also.

The fascia of the photobooth should include as a minimum

- Flash filter/ambient light perspex panel
- Port hole for camera
- Touch screen interface
- Print slot/catch

We will add some images of our current Photobooths to give an idea of how our current fascias look.

The equipment inside the photobooth is as follows and should be thought about in the design in terms of mounting points/positions. Specs for these can easily be found online:

- DNP RXHS1 Printer
- Canon 2000D Camera
- Shuttle DH610 SFF Computer
- Studio flash with standard thumb screw mount (image of mount attached)
- Ambient LED Strip lights (these can be custom made to any length)

With regards to the wind machine, we currently use a centrifugal fan (specs attached), but again, are open to this being changed should a good suggestion be forthcoming.
Wants:
Submissions will be evaluated based on the following factors:

Look and feel of the Photobooth (40%)
Is the concept unique and not already available in the market? Does it have a modern/futuristic feel

Functionality and Practicality (30%)
The ability to break the Photobooth down into smaller parts for transport/install is very important.
All of the internal components should be easily accessible and changeable for service engineers.

Feasibility and Manufacturability (30%)
It it our thought that this photobooth will be manufactured from sheet metal, then powdercoated, ready for vinyl wrapping for branding purposes before installation. Therefore any design elements need to be manufacturable by a sheet metal manufacturing company using common methods.

We are open to submissions suggesting manufacturing in other materials, so long as they fit the other criteria.
Don't Wants:
Aesthetics Over Functionality:
Designs that prioritise looks over practicality or usability, ultimately we are looking to create a commercially viable product that can be manufactured and used in a real world environment.

Generic or Existing Designs:
Concepts that already exist in the market or do not introduce a unique feature or innovation.

Overly Complex Designs:
Designs that are difficult to manufacture, assemble, or use. The solution should be practical and feasible for real-world production.

Unsafe or Impractical Ideas:
Designs that do not consider safety standards such as sharp edges, instability, or unsuitable materials.
Ask for Sample:
As part of your submission, please include a sample of your previous work that demonstrates your experience and skills in product design. The sample should highlight: Your ability to create practical, innovative solutions. Examples of 3D models, sketches, or technical drawings relevant to product design. Any past projects that show creativity, problem-solving, or work with sheet metal manufacturing(preferred but not required).

Ferrorod Striker
Please open attached PDF. I want to build a new type of ferrocerium striker with multifunction. So a physical product design. Our company make survival and self-defense tools.
do you have the right STUFF to design the COOLEST consumer electronic accessory ? radiant heat resistant material fans & radiant heat barrier aficionados .. YES, YOU DO!
I am creating a mobile phone "pouch" that has 3 functions and comes in two sizes to accommodate the most popular mobile phones on the market today: 1) protect your mobile phone from water damage. similar to waterproof phone pouches currently on the market. (picture someone laying on a pool float, listening to music on their phone) 2) reflect the heat transfer from the sun to a customers mobile phone & prevent it from overheating on hot summer days. 3) allow the customer to still access the screen of their phone with front "flap" that opens and closes easily and is on the outside of the clear, waterproof plastic pouch.
Soft close, no pinch safety hinge
We are a company that provides innovative product solutions for the physical education and educational market. We pride ourselves in providing the most innovative, high quality product to our customer. This product would be a soft close, safety hinge used to hold the lid open on our line of ball carts. It needs to be pressure sensitive and stay open at any angle and not slam closed. It also must not have any pinch points where the fingers could get pinched. The lid would need to be pushed closed by the user. The lid itself that needs to be supported is about 25lbs., however, the hinge would need to support more in order to keep it from closing on it's own. The end user can be a student so safety is critical. There are many soft close hinges on the market, many with pneumatic functionality and gas hinges and often used on toy boxes. I have attached a photo of an existing hinge on the market just for reference. I am open to materials based on design and likely will need to be pneumatic or incorporate a gas hinge. I have included a link to our website to see the carts it would be used on. You can also see a few of the existing hinges that have been/are being used that I am looking to update with a better hinge. I am also including files to the carts themselves so you can see the product the hinge will be used on, as well as instructions that show the current hinge being used that I am looking to update. The existing hinge is not ideal as there are potential pinch points. https://www.gophersport.com/supplies/storage/titan-ball-carts?item=6397
Segmented Connect-a-Hoop
We are a company that provides innovative product solutions for the physical education and educational market. We pride ourselves in providing the most innovative, high quality product to our customer. This product would be a segmented hula hoop that consists of multiple segments that connect together, allowing the user to create 3 different size hoops based on the number of segments used. This allows the user to build the hoops size they choose. The key factor in this design is to have a unique, innovative connection point that is easy to put together and take apart, holds the hoop securely together when in use and will not become weak or break when used repeatedly in an institutional setting. The connection point must be able to be taken apart and put back together an indefinite number of times without the strength being jeopardized.
