PROJECTS:
1. INFLUENCE OF CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION WASTE CONCRETE AS COARSE AGGREGATE FOR DEVELOPING CEMENT-BASED MESH-EMBEDDED PAVER BLOCKS. Major project
Analysed the potential of 100% replacement of recycled mortar-surrounded coarse aggregate (RMSCA) as coarse aggregate and embedment of steel fibre for achieving the highest compressive strength. RMSCA paver showed a 12% increase in compressive strength over conventional NCA blocks. Steel wire mesh reinforcement in RMSCA further increased strength by 38%, making the blocks suitable for non-traffic zones. The research aimed to reduce carbon footprints and provide valuable insights into the potential of using RMSCA in paver block production, which contributes to sustainable construction practices. And determined the size of RMSCA for better strength performance, which yielded promising results.
2. APPLICATION OF DISCRETE WAVELET TRANSFORM AND INNOVATIVE TREND ANALYSIS FOR RAINFALL TREND ANALYSIS IN GREATER CHENNAI CORPORATION, TN, INDIA.
The research focused on the importance of understanding the uncertainties of rainfall patterns. And analyzed the effect of climate change-induced rainfall fluctuations on the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) using seasonal and annual rainfall data for over a period of 35 years. The data was extracted from the Center for Hydrometeorology and Remote Sensing (CHRS platform) and bias-corrected with a resolution of 0.040 degree. With the incorporation of the homogeneity test for a uniform and consistent data format, found the monotonically and non-monotonically increasing trend by innovative trend analysis and discrete wavelet transform.
