Seven years ago I started out learning to draft by hand, spending hours ensuring my paper was aligned with my T-square, drawing construction lines, and lettering to my hearts content. While continuing with that practice I moved on to 2d drafting in AutoCAD, and after becoming proficient moved into both architectural drafting and mechanical modeling. After beginning my early college years I was able to earn a certification in SolidWorks and began fulfilling clients needs in 3d modeling. Growing up in an advanced mult-axis CNC machine shop and furthering my experience with studies in International Industrial Product Design Marketing and Mechanical Engineering I bring 25 years of theory and deep experience in the hands on / real world aspects of how precision industrial, medical, food processing, commercial, aerospace and consumer product products are conceptualized, prototyped and later produced and sourced. I have substantial experience in multi-axis CNC programming for high-speed, horizontal and vertical milling centers as well as multi-axis Swiss lathes (Citizen) via Mastercam. I am very well versed in a variety of materials and have years experience programming complex, multi-surfaced components to simple components, for short run prototypes, high speed, long run production and high-confidence lights out operations. In addition I have many years experience in CAD modeling and design via Solidworks 2018 including part, assembly and prints of which I also own one seat of latest 2018 version including Solid Works Simulation and the new, very impressive Solid Works Visualize. With Visualize I have the ability to not only design full solid models and assemblies but also create incredible, rendered real world pictures and images. I have designed, prototyped, sourced and brought to market several products from the ground up in various market segments including industrial, medical, food processing and aerospace. (including sheet metal, injection molded parts and of course precision machined parts with very tight tolerances). I currently own a Okuma MB-4000H Multi-Axis Horizontal Milling Center in which I can complete advanced protoypes to high speed, long run production runs. I am a passionate, fresh designer with a natural talent for visual design. My personal focus is on architecture and interior spaces, but my creative and practical approach has a wide range of uses. I use Revit the most, and I can create components (families), floorplans, 3D and photorealistic renders, section views, and more. I am also skilled at AutoCAD and can create isometric, 2D, and 3D drawings and blocks. I operated my own business in designing and building furniture and decor items for personal clients and have designed and built nearly all the furniture in my own home. I am a Mechanical Engineer with proficient skills in both Solidworks and AutoDesk AutoCAD. I have used AutoCAD on 2D development as a Solar PV engineer for the past 7 years. I have been using AutoCAD in general since 2002. My Solidworks experience is with Sheet Metal Parts and other mechanical parts and assemblies. I have been using SolidWorks since 2002 as well, with a majority of my work being done over the past 6 years. I am constantly working with both SolidWorks (2016) and AutoCAD (2014) currently. I have been working as a Freelancer for the past year and a half and I have found I am overall more productive than when I was chained to a desk. I have been involved with projects that ranged in size from a few hours worth of work through multi-month long projects. I am also very verse in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power point, Project) and can develop reports to accompany parts or other tasks within the suite. I take pride in the final products of my work and always meet my deadlines. I am flexible with working hours being known to work into the early hours of the morning to complete a task.
