I am mechanical engineering recently graduated from the university of Vermont with 5+ years of experience in SolidWorks. I am a mechanical engineer specializing in taking ideas and turning them into 3d models, then onto technical drawings to provide to machine shops. I am experienced in structures, heavy and light materials, and large assemblies. I am available to answer any technical questions, reply quickly, and recognize good engineering opportunities to adjust to designs to make them fit for manufacturing and purpose. During my time in the aerospace industry I’ve honed my skills and proven my ability to create cost-effective, cutting-edge designs that meet project and product specifications. Also I’m an expert user of CAD programs and skilled producer of mechanical engineering documentation and drawings. I have 14 years of experience with 2D and 3D CAD design. I’m proficient in structural analysis, mechanics, process engineering, and thermodynamics. My aptitude in CAD extends to systems and product design including components and assemblies, detail drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), assembly drawings, engineering BOM’s, and stress analysis. From 2008-2013 I worked at Blue Origin in Kent WA as a design engineer for the propulsion and structural/mechanical groups. Since then I have finished schooling for Mechanical Engineering and have had experience in the Ag Industry with design and also the manufacturing of that equipment. I enjoy seeing needs in the market, diagnosing the real issue, and then looking and creating a solution for the need. I have had experience with 3D CAD component modeling/engineering, FEA, Assemblies, BOM's and Sales Structures, mathematical calculations and sizing, CAD rendering, and manufacturing prints.
