Tripp graduated from Sam Houston State University with a B.S. in Industrial Technology with an emphasis in Design And Development. He worked 12 years in the Oil and Gas industry as a mechanical drafter and design engineer. He's held the titles of Designer, Drafter, Project Designer, and Sr. Designer. Tripp also serves on the School board in his community as the Board President. Tripp has been married for 20 years and though he and his wife have no children, they have two dogs and a cat that they consider their children. Shane started his career in 2005 as a freelance 3D artist for a Unreal Mod by CrackedD3signs. Soon after he began freelance work for Iron Will Games for their MMORPG called Ashen Empires. After relocating to Austin, TX he later became a fulltime team member at Pixel Mine Games continueing his work on Ashen Empires, and other projects. While working for video game companies, he also worked in NetworkOps field for Time Warner, with an extensive background in Cable Systems. After choosing the career path of 3D Arts, he left Time Warner and focused primarily on the video game industry. After leaving Pixel Mine Games, Shane started working at Spiderwood Studios as the Lead Character Modeler, and then became the Art Director. After working on the animation short film - Flight of Magic, he worked on a handful of films in live production. Then he went back into the 3D realm and started working at IBM as the 3D Artist/Animator for hardware product tours. He still works at IBM, but has taken on additional roles outside of his day job as a Post-Production Manager for Launch Studios & Dimeworth Productions. My expertise is in energy efficiency, lighting design, manufacturing and electrical construction fields. I have been designing and managing lighting projects for over 30 years having completed many interior and exterior designs for manufacturing facilities, warehouses, large and small office buildings, schools, universities, retail and national accounts. Work experience includes lighting and electrical systems design for both new and existing facilities, application engineering and product development and management for lighting manufacturing. Lighting design has always been described as part art and part science. This is true, but when was the last time you tried to sit on a visually stunning, ultra-comfortable chair with only two legs? A true solutions based approach to lighting design integrates art, science and constructability which acts as the third leg to a successful project. Understanding how to visually enhance a space is the art, the science is defining what is needed to realize the vision. But, can the vision be realized if the fixtures can’t be installed where shown on paper or the cost is excessive because of field conditions the designer didn’t understand?
