I’m an Engineering CAD Technician living in Southern California. I Design and create visual content. While working as a consultant for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, I specialized in electrical drawings for various projects in the Los Angeles and surrounding areas. I have also had the opportunity to work for Southern California Edison where I focused mainly on CAD/GIS projects. At Parsons Corporations I was able to work in Civil Design. My career has afforded me the opportunity to work in both the private and public sectors and has given me a vast knowledge in all areas of Engineering and CADD/GIS. Currently I work for Metropolitan Water District of Southern California as a Sr. Designer. There, I provide drafting/design support to major projects by creating and updating various MicroStation CAD drawings/3D models.

I started using AutoCad in 1987 designing automotive testing equipment. I also spent time working directly in the machine shop to get a machinist perspective on the manufacturing process, which helps when preparing detail drawings. Some of the projects I worked on include, Fuel injector test stand, air bag test chamber, seatbelt test stand, transmission dyno, and many other similar projects. I also spent 7 years doing civil design/drafting using AutoCad and ESRI GIS software. As far as education. I took college courses in drafting and computer aided design in AutoCad. I also have an associate degree in radiologic technology.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas. I completed high school in Conroe, Texas (Conroe High School) and was accepted to attend studies at Texas A & M University. Due to a life changing event I was unable to complete my studies there and returned home to be employed by the local electric utility company, Gulf States Utilities. Hired as a line helper in 1979, I worked in construction and maintenance of the electrical utility facilities working my way up thru the ranks from helper to apprentice lineman then to lineman 4th class then to lineman 3rd class. Once I had achieved 3rd class I was able to transition to the service department where I was trusted to work on a truck by myself unsupervised working customer service tickets and troubleshooting outages that occurred on the lines. In 1991 Gulf States Utilities was purchased by Entergy and around this time I transitioned back into the line crew in the Woodlands Network to continue construction and maintenance work on most underground but occasionally overhead lines as well. April of 1999 I transferred to the Design West group of Entergy Texas, Inc. as an Engineer Assistant and a short time later, I earned the title of Senior Engineer Assistant. I presently continue to hold that title. My present job description entails meeting with customers to determine their electrical needs, design Entergy's facilities to serve these customers, procure easements for Entergy's facilities, draft contracts and collect contributions and assemble construction job packets to hand off to our line crews to build. During the last 18 years of my employment, I have used MS Office Suite's Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Access and I have used Auto CAD on a daily basis and in the past 4 years I have used GIS, Pole Foreman and other software.

Experience. Communication. Timeliness. Work ethic. These are all words that make up the core values I strive to achieve when I develop a professional relationship with a client and take part in his/her project. I have 15+ years of knowledge & experience in all architectural phases of a project. Currently, I am taking the ARE licensing exam in Pennsylvania (only need to pass 3 more sections to become registered). I am proficient with many computer softwares, including AutoCAD, Sketchup and Photoshop. I believe that my strong organizational skills help keep a project on-track and progress efficiently. My niche in architecture is 2D/3D computer renderings with a hand-rendered appearance. I am also an Associate AIA member, as well as a LEED Accredited professional with BD+C specialty credential. I would be happy to provide you with the architectural services you need in order to accomplish the goals of your project. Thank you for reviewing my profile and potentially considering me for your project. Sincerely, Tom

Hello, My name is Peter Ciampi and I'm a 26 year-old professional civil engineer, who has been in the industry for 4+ years. I'm currently an In-House Design Team Leader for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. I am responsible for the design and supervision of Interstate Maintenance and National Highway System resurfacing projects from development of scope of work for highway and bridge components, through development of contract documents to project advertisement. I also provide construction support as required for in-house designed projects. I have been with the Department for almost 4 years and I've worked in the Projects, Highway Maintenance, Permits, and Construction Sections in my District. I also participate in the Transportation Asset Management Steering Committee where I discuss the future needs and desires of tracking the Department's highway assets. I also develop and test different databases and applications through the development and release process. I graduated in 2013 from the Wentworth Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. I currently possess my Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certificate and looking forward to obtaining my Professional Engineer's (P.E.) license in the near future. I've worked with all form of AutoCAD and Civil 3D ever since I was a freshman in high school and I always try to learn everything that is new with each version. I've also worked with ArcMap and ArcGIS for over 8 years and I constantly develop new data and analysis maps. I want to thank you for considering me for your position, and I hope to be working with you real soon!
