About
Mustaffa Abd Kadir graduated from the University College of Swansea U.K (University of Wales) in 1981 in Civil Engineering.
Since then, he has a wide experience in the construction industry in many roles from being a Resident engineer, Design Engineer, a Sole Proprietor and finally now as a partner of consulting office at Tengku Sidek Associates.
Right after graduation 1981, as a young engineer he joined a Pahang State Development Agency, LKNP, where assumed the role of a Project Engineer for mainly housing and industrial projects.
After serving 3 1/2 years at LKNP , he moved on to become a Resident Engineer for civil engineering projects in Terengganu under Esa Jurutera Perunding and Wan Mohamed and Khoo Sdn Bhd. Two major projects in this period he was involved in were the construction of Kolej Sultan Zainal Abidin (KUSZA) Campus and the Sungai Terengganu Bridge Project.
From 1990 to 1991 he assumed the role of a Director at Superplan Sdn Bhd Consulting Engineers. While at Superplan, he undertook a major O&G project by Petronas called Peninsular Gas Utilisation Project Stage II System 2 Expansion of Gas Processing Plant and Export Terminal in Kerteh ,Terengganu as a lead civil engineer for EPCC led by Hyundai Engineering from South Korea and Stone Webster from the USA.
In 1992 he formed his own consulting firm called Mustaffa Associates . From 1992 to 2008 while at Mustaffa Associates he undertook many types of projects ranging from a flood mitigation project for Taman Seri Muda Shah Alam, to a Sport Complex in Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur for 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur.
He is presently working as a partner at Tengku Sidek Associates Consulting Engineers , in Taman Melawati , Selangor. Over a period of 8 years since joining Tengku Sidek Associates, he has successfully carried out to completion many notable projects such as University Nottingham in Malaysia Campus , a New Polytechnic in Nilai , a 29 Storey Mutiara Rini Condominium and a High End Housing Project in Precinct 8 in Putrajaya.
