About
I am a CAD Modeler aiming to support my clients' physical product development efforts in a cost-effective way by making CAD models in Fusion360.
I have 15 years of experience in product development, both in large enterprise at Caterpillar and in my own company, Velocity Robotics, as an entrepreneur. I have been on both sides of the freelance relationship and understand what it takes to maximize the value provided to my clients.
If you need somebody to turn your drawing or idea into a 3D model, I can help. If you need help with prototyping and engineering, or just another set of eyes on your design, I can help there too. I have a degree in mechanical engineering and a lot of experience prototyping and testing parts and assemblies. I can even 3D print parts and send them to you, and even test fit assemblies in house.
I'm looking forward to the opportunity to meet you and discuss your business needs and how I can help.
Sincerely,
Brad Kriel

Designed and developed systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure results of algorithms and design, and to inform next iteration of design. One of the projects, while only a small research project, turned into a safety system required by a customer on all remote-control equipment; Specified and integrated sensing components like RADAR, LiDAR, ultrasonic, cameras, and RFID with software to enhance operators' awareness of surroundings and improve site safety

Advocated with program management for budget and resources needed to complete advanced product development on a $1M - $2.1M (per year) project; Analyzed user needs to design software, data flow, and UX requirements, and specify software and hardware architecture for future product and features. That product is the only Pittsburgh-based project to survive the 2016 downsizing; Collaborated with downstream business units to develop a cost-effective product that integrated with existing product lines. That product will be released on multiple Cat product lines including excavators and mining equipment in 2018.
