I modeled the with the given boundary conditions as
follows:
Crank slider mechanism, Minimum Stroke of 110mm,
Speed of crushing = 1 can/second, Can Size = 120mm.
Designed using standard components.
Calculated a crank radius to achieve the minimum
stroke of 110 mm.
Achieving a factor of safety of 1.25 for reliable and
durable operation.
For required torque of 13.75 Nm, used a high speed dc
motor and
Incorporated a multi-stage gear box with gear
reduction ratio of 1:25.
