Fork/spoon set for children.

Fork & spoon concepts for the We Might Be Tiny (wemightbetiny.com) contest. There are 3 concepts; ‘minimalist’, ‘practical’ & ‘playful’, each incorporating an animal from the existing product range. The first is the simplest, Scandinavian or minimalist inspired. The second incorporates a ‘shield’ to separate food from handle and to raise the fork/spoon end off the table top. The third adds a big animal profile like a lollipop stick. Handles in moulded silicone, utensil in stainless steel, as per the design brief. I included an option for melamine (the hard, white plastic often used for unbreakable crockery), thinking that melamine would perhaps be safer/softer for toddlers. Either option, s/steel or melamine, would have the same soft silicone handles. The 'paw-print' stamps were a spin-off idea, as the design brief called for playfulness. At first I incorporated them into the cutlery handles before deciding that parents probably wouldn't like to see their kids mixing up ink with their dinner, so this became a separate product idea.
