The original design was a stamped sheet metal housing, required the removal of the housing, clamps, and rubber boots to access the screws on the coupling inside the housing. Design changes permit now the; removal of screws, increased ventilation, and inspection while leaving the boot and clamps in place. Reduced the downtime to exchange shaft bearings. This was a concept model the last iteration removed the plastic covers changing to narrow slots that permitted removal of the screw via the slots.
