Solar Mowing Solution

1.) Client goal was to find a way to cut the grass/vegetation underneath solar panels in a large solar farm, as a lawn mower wouldn’t reach. 2.) My specific role in the project was to brainstorm possible solutions, then design/model it in 3D SolidWorks. Once the design process was complete, I would then fabricate our prototype in the machine shop with a steel mill. 3.) Doing a 1/3 scale, a prototype worked pretty well and was a success. It effectively solved our problem and didn’t use too much power.
