Universal Joint

Universal Joint can transmit power between two shafts at an inclined angle. This can be seen between the Gear-box and the Propeller shaft. The universal joint is also termed as Hooke's Joint. In some countries they term it as Knuckle joint. The main purpose is to transmit power between two shafts which need not be in linear position.
