In the Jalma Union of Khulna’s peri-urban area, a focus group discussion (FGD) approach identified local issues. Four FGD groups highlighted concerns like access to clean water, traffic accidents, and a lack of hospitals.
The survey revealed that the most critical issue was inadequate medical care during pregnancy and child health care. Consequently, a project focused on women and child healthcare was deemed the most appropriate intervention.
The proposed Women and Child Healthcare Center addresses the crucial healthcare needs identified in the Jalma Union, providing essential medical care and support for women and children, thereby enhancing the community’s overall health and well-being.
