Add your username and legal name

Your colleagues and friends refer to you by a different name than what appears on your government ID. On Cad Crowd, you can use your username as your nickname, which potential clients could use, while your full name should match the name shown on your government photo ID.

  • Your account username: Your username (i.e., nickname) can be a name you commonly use daily. You can choose a username you’re most comfortable with, which can differ from your government ID. Your name will be displayed on your public profile on Cad Crowd.
  • Your verified legal name: On Cad Crowd, your verified legal name is based on your government-issued ID. Your full legal name is only visible on active job contracts when you are hired by a client and on invoice payments. Your legal name is typically unalterable; however, you can contact us if your legal name was changed on your government ID (i.e., last name change through marriage).

Accurately showcase your skills and experience

Honesty is crucial when you showcase your abilities and professional background.

When creating a profile, only show skills that accurately reflect your experience. In addition, ensure your employment background, completed degrees, and credentials/certifications are accurate.

Lying about credentials swiftly undermines trust. If you are untruthful and unable to deliver on a job contract, it may lead to negative reviews or a dispute resolution.

Never share your account with other people

Never allow other people access your Cad Crowd account.

We prohibit account sharing, and impersonation is against the platform’s terms of service.

You may not transfer or sell your Cad Crowd account to any other party.

Keep the Cad Crowd community safe

Honesty plays a crucial role in the success of the Cad Crowd platform. If we discover that the information you have provided needs to be revised, we may request that you re-share your government photo ID. If we cannot verify the authenticity of your ID or work credentials, we may suspend your account and access to the platform.
