Industrial design is the art of creating intuitive, usable products optimized for mass production and ready for store shelves. Many of our product designers have experience with industrial design and work with clients from all manner of fields to create market-ready new products. Here are some of the top industrial design contests from Cad Crowd!
1. Rugged 3D Scanner Case Design by Cad Geek

2. Cylindrical Planter Design by sldraftingdesign
Here’s the winning entry for a contest to create some high-end cylindrical planters for some truly hip houseplants or balcony plants. The buyer was looking for minimalist, sleek, and elegant designs. You can see why this design took the cake!
3. Kettlebell Design by Sergiu.Nasta
Kettlebells are tough. Especially these ones! The buy had a specific list of figures to be included, all sharing a kind of creepy-evil motif. As with any good industrial design, these weights have been optimized for mass production — in this case, through casting.
4. Espresso Machine Packaging Design by Albertus Putra

The buyer was looking for an ISO-certifiable, moisture-proof box that can be easily opened when the customers eventually take the new product home. In addition to being drop-resistant and stackable, the design had to be environmentally friendly.
5. Kick Scooter Design by Aminegn
