Entry

I have indicated below the request to edit the sketches or renderings that were submitted:

1.) Provide more perspective and orthogonal views of the new luxury 2-door coupe. The orthogonal views should include the top, front, rear, and side views of the vehicle. The views for a model with one color can be submitted.
2.) Include the Amani hood ornament on the renderings of the luxury 2-door coupe.
3.) Indicate in a view, the dimensions of the vehicles. The dimensions should include the vehicle&;s width, height, length, wheelbase, top height to front end, and top height to rear end.
4.) Provide the perspective and orthogonal views of the luxury 4-door coupe. Include all dimensions, Amani logo and Amani hood ornament.

Please provide an estimate of the time, it will take to revise the entry&;s renderings.

Thanks.

The file size limit is 2.9 MB but I will not reject an entry with a larger file size.

If I can not download the file, I will provide instructions that will help with decreasing the file size for download.

Thanks.

What I ment in my previous comment was, with the memory limit, I can hardly submit JPEG files, let alone Ps files for your future use.

Hi Moses, Is the memory limit of 2.9 mb is of any certain importance to you? A certain relaxation would allow me to submit Photoshop files too.

We do not have the line sketches of the luxury 2-door coupe or 4-door sedan. We do not have a top view.

As a designer, you can develop the vehicle&;s body of both concepts and change the specifications or dimensions to present the look as luxury, aerodynamic and a wide body vehicle. We will use your final dimensions or specifications to continue to model and develop our digital prototypes. We will review the surfaces and preliminary dimensions for the actual prototypes.

The 3-D models that you have submitted should include the Amani logo and design of the hood ornament. You should also add views of the luxury sedan. We will plan to market the luxury coupe as a version of the sedan. The look or design of both vehicles should have a similar style that will display the quality of the Amani name brand.

We will request for you to submit the orthogonal and perspective views of the two vehicles. You can submit the views in a sketch and in renderings.

Hi,
Please refer , Car model is low poly & is modelled & rendered in MAYA .
Can you provide line sketches of the concept car as it is very difficult to model the car based on the images provided.curve lines are not visible.Top view is missing.
Can we change the shape & style keeping the overall dimensions same or you want it as per reference images.

The 4-door sedan will be a wide body luxury electric vehicle. The luxury coupe will also be a wide body vehicle but it will be the 2-door version of the 4-door sedan.

As a designer in the contest, I would sketch the body of the 4-door sedan and use the features from the wide body to create the sketches for the 2-door coupe. We will use these features to help with the preliminary marketing and advertising the concepts.

A designer will be able to create new sketches that are not developed 100% from the existing renderings. We will still require the designers to use the posted company logo and hood ornament in their sketches.

there is a question based on the previous discussion, if the designer was asked to develop and create a new sketch, mean entries do not have to equal 100% in the example just given, the most important is both of cars have the same body shape, futuristic impression, and there was a company logo ?
or
2-door coupe entries must be exact and we develop a new model for 4-door sedan based on the example?
sorry, I kinda hard to draw conclusions in English

I can not revise the front view of the existing rendering of the luxury coupe. The model of the vehicle is indicated on a image in software and the program can not revise the views.

The entries will be evaluated on "Style" and I will review the sketches for presenting an automobile that will be futuristic but classic. The designer will be able to present the front view of the vehicle as highlighting this feature.

Hi Moses, Thanks for extending the time. I would like to point out that the front 3/4 view of the car in one of your images looks too exaggerated. If possible can you adjust the perspective of the car to a more natural perspective before rendering it so that it would be much better after sketching on it? The rear 3/4 image is rendered in good perspective though.

And also is it OK for you If i concentrate on the 2 door coupe version of the car first and submit its design for the contest and later once your team goes through it and makes necessary corrections I can then proceed to modify it into a 4 door sedan? I feel that this would benefit both the parties as it would result in a better thought out and refined design for the two luxury cars and keeps us from chasing time and end up with two hastily designing whole new cars in the process.

Thanks for listening!

The vehicle specifications and dimensions are posted in a word file. The designers in the contest can change the dimensions but the final sketch or rendering should reflect that the vehicles will be designed as a wide-body sedan or coupe. "Detail" will be one of the evaluation criteria.

There are 4 days left for the contest. Please contact me, if you need more time or have any questions.

The conceptual sketches will likely take a couple of days for new designs. Modeling and surfacing for the two models will take 30 plus hours and another 8 for iterations/detailing.

The sketches, renderings or images can be done in a digital or 3-dimensional mode in the listed programs. A file created by a different program can be submitted.

You can submit the conceptual model of the surfaces of the automobile in AutoDESK Alias, SolidWorks Industrial Designer or AutoDESK Maya. We will use these files to begin the next phase of the design.

The luxury coupe will be a 2-door version of the luxury sedan. The body and grill of the 2-door coupe should look similar to the 4-door sedan by having futuristic features that are associated with the logo and hood ornament of ATG. The logo represents a falcon with a crown, which will represent the future of the automotive industry and the performance of the vehicles. The vehicle&;s body should display that the production vehicle in the future will be innovative.

The 5 file types that are associated with the 5 software will be accepted with the design contest entries. The file types will be associated and created in the 2016 software version of:

1.) Adobe Photoshop (image files, .psb, .psd)
2.) 3DS Max
3.) AutoDESK Alias
4.) SolidWorks Industrial Designer
5.) AutoDESK Maya

You may be able to submit a .dwg file (AutoCAD). You can also submit a .dwf or .pdf file. I believe an IGES file can be imported into the listed programs.

The sketches, renderings and images should be in a program that can create a file type that can be opened by the listed software. I will inform you at the time of submission, if the submitted file type is compatible.

Hi Moses! Are you expecting renderings done on a digital model made in software like Alias or do you want photoshop renderings made on my sketches? Given the prize money and the time available, I presume that its the latter since developing at least a good class B surface in alias (or a mesh model in Maya) based on my sketches takes 4 to 5 days and its a completely unaffordable skill at this prize money. Moreover, since you&;re expecting the renderings for conceptual phase, i would suggest you to go with photoshop renderings.

And I would like to know how much liberty is there for a designer to differentiate the 4 door and 2 door concepts. I mean, obviously these two will be sharing body panels as much as possible to bring the cost down but for what extent? Your answer to this will help me to decide how much similar the two concepts should be in design.

Thanks for the job!
