congrats Pablo!
Thanks Eira. Glad, the Buyer selected my concept. Thanks Paprika!!
Thanks again to everyone for submitting all of your ideas for the design. And congratulations to Pablo for submitting the winning idea! Pablo took a different approach and solved for the problem of attaching a tracking device to a dog collar in a discreet and secure way that is simple and easy to use.
We really enjoyed working with all of you and we had a great experience with CAD Crowd.
Thanks,
Paprika

congrats pablo!
Thank you to everyone for all of the great ideas and designs! Your input has been amazing and we are excited to go through all of the designs and do some 3D print testing. We plan to name the winner next week. If we have any questions for you we will reach out in the meantime.

Paprika,
I am glad you liked my submission. The plan I had in mind for my design is a loop back strap that would be threaded thru the designed buckle similar to what is found on most dog collars that I have seen.

Decker

Hi Saket -
We are looking for a solution where the device does not hang off the collar or stick out from the collar. It needs to be discreet (not obvious) and secure. The attachment (Collar on Sam) is an example of discreet and secure, but we are open to any designs that accomplish these goals.
Thanks,
Paprika

Hi Paprika
Please elaborate more regarding tracking device.Do you want it to be incorporated in the same adapter we are designing or you want a separate design for the tracker which will fit many collars.

HI Paprika, I got the dimensions provided. But there are some other dimensions that may come handy for optimization. No problem, we can work with the provided dimensions.
Hi KP HARISANKAR -
The dimensions of the clips are listed in the comments below. There is an attachment (IMG 1038) that shows several different buckles.

HI Paprika, if you can get samples of all buckles of different dimensions it can be very useful for accurate designs. Place all of them on a flat surface and just take a photo of the top view, and mention the dimension of any one edge. Then all of us will be able to get all dimensions of the buckles.
Hello designers -
We have been getting a lot of creative and unique designs for the universal buckle adapter. Please keep sending us your designs. Be thinking about how we can attach a tracking device to a dog collar without having it hang off or around the collar. The tracking device itself will be about 1.25" x 1.25" x 0.375".
Thanks and good luck!

Hello designers! Please remember that we do require a .STL file for you submission to be considered.
Thanks for your comment USLANDS2CAD. You make a good point and we definitely want a solution that works for as many collar sizes as possible (not just 1" collars). We are starting out focused on the 1" size, but will welcome any designs that solve for more sizes.
Paprika, I have reviewed your request for a product buckle that is interchangeable with a wide range of existing buckles available on the market. I have also reviewed some of the commentary. One of the comments in the comment section that stands out is Adam&
;s comment about the range of size of buckle (3/4" - 2"). You may want to consider the range of size of buckle to further make the buckle adapter interchangeable with the many collars available rather than limiting it to 1" collars. With that, you&
;ll be able to market your product to a wider audience. It&
;s just a suggestion. Your thoughts are welcome.

We have uploaded two additional pictures that will further explain what we are trying to accomplish. One of the attachments, "Collar on Sam", shows how the device will connect to an existing pet collar. The other attachment, "Device", shows a depiction of the device itself with a male and female adapter on each side. The challenge we have is that there are many different types of collars with many different types of buckles to connect to. Hope this helps!

Hello everyone! If you haven&
;t already, clear remember to provide an STL file for us so we can print and verify your results meet our requirements. If you can indicate in the file name which file is STL it would be great as not all entries above list the file extension or call out the STL file by name. We are excited to see the submissions so far!

Another thing to think about with the design of the male buckle adapter is that the middle guide post, which creates stability and ensures a tight fit, can&
;t be too long so that it prevents it from fitting completely into the female end of a variety of clips. Consider either reducing the length/size of the middle guide post or eliminating it completely if the buckle will maintain its stability.
