Thank you for this great contest

So the motors are not part of the design that we have to submit?
Buyer
@GalaxyRobotics Thank you for your interest in the contest and asking such important questions.
We are hoping to get the mechanical design of the product. We will take care of the electronics part. Tripod is not part of the design, only the arm.
Accuracy is definitely an important factor but speed is not. 5% deviation is acceptable.

Hello, I have two questions:
- Are we designing the entire system? (complete with motion components, structural components, etc?)
- Is there a target accuracy/precision you are hoping to accomplish? according to your list of criteria, precision and accuracy were not shown. Does that mean that the accuracy/precision of the design does not matter?
Thanks for this great contest!

@Saqib Ali I hope the answers to the queries in comments may have helped to clear up the confusion. Please feel free to ask any questions that you have.

Thank you everyone for showing interest in this contest. We really appreciate your efforts.
@INDJMAY @Shahid Ameen Khan The total length of the arm (the reach from tripod ) has to be 1.5 m. The design is not finalized as it will depend on the mechanism. We would like to have as much reach as possible.
@niravj The configuration is going to be SCARA. The mounting direction will depend on the mechanism and to make the system very stable. Please refer to this link for details of tripod: https://www.benrousa.com/products/benro-fsl09an00.aspx

I will need more information for this project to come up with the best solution.
"Bot DOF" shows SCARA configuration so do you want your robot to be SCARA configuration?
Also how much reach/working space do you need so that I can come up with the length of the links.
Also, I am confused about how would you like to mount the Robot on the tripod. Perhaps the Isometric view of image mech3 v2 will be helpful.
Also dimensions and other details of the tripod mounting where the robot needs to be mounted.

What is the desired reach (in meters or any units) you want with the mechanism?

I can&;t understand your need and want. Tell me briefly and text me at PMB

If the total weight of the arm and mechanism is >3kg and we are creating the mechanism, is the arm already designed? If so what are its dimensions, materials, mass?

Total length is inner + outer arm? Is the 1.5m from pivot referring to M1?
Buyer
We are open to use any kind of DC motors.

could I get an idea of what type of motors you are planning to use ? specific motor dimensions would also be useful.
