Traditionally it uses metal screws to connect different parts of cat furniture together, which is time-consuming and not user-friendly. It is not easy to assemble and disassemble. We are looking for an innovative and simple way to connect things.
Requirements:
1) Easy to use - Cat owners should be able to use this connector quickly to assemble different pieces of cat furniture together
2) Safe to use - It should be cause any danger to cats
3) Need to attach a hanging cat toy (inside the condo or under the shelf) if possible
4) Material of the connector can be wood / metal / plastic, depending on the design. We are open to suggestions
5) Looks appealing with a modern design
6) The design should not infringe on an existing patent
Please submit a neutral CAD file (STEP preferred) and a native CAD file. We also need a 2D drawing with all the dimensions and a bill of materials specified.

They are flat-packed and look easy to install. It would save much transportation costs. However, aesthetically it looks cheap and by reading the customer's comments it is not sturdy. We are looking for a design that looks modern and chic, with a stable structure, and is flat-packed! Sorry for not making it clear earlier**
Again, to all contestants, please DO NOT submit any design which needs to be screwed, either by bolts or the scratch post itself is to be screwed, as mentioned clearly in the brief. We don't want to screw as that's time-consuming.
I have added a 2nd prize because there are some great entries.
The contest is extended to 7 additional days as we need more time to check out all entries.

2) Yes prefer built in
Thank you
I have 2 questions.
1) In the aditional info, you mention: "**Adding one of our competitor&;s products which is modular cat furniture for your reference.**" Where can I find it? I the only attachment I can see is the original, called "Instructions"
2) The idea of the connector is that it would be "built in" with the cat furniture itself? Or it has to be something that it should be added to an existing cat furniture?
Thanks in advance!

It is much clearer if you have both versions of the assembly and disassembly of the cat furniture

The column can be installed from the bottom and from the top through the complementary parts of the model. Please see the file carefully.

Thank you for your interest in the contest. Yes, you might change the overall dimensions or have modifications to the existing design, as long as it won&;t affect the function. The design of the cat furniture is just an example. You don&;t need to follow the same if you have your own idea. But it needs to be stable to have at least 3 levels of the shelf.
Are you a manufacturer or an individual who purchased the product? Is the design and dimension of the component modifiable?
This kind of oportunities I like to have in life.
It says the contest ends in 21 days but really when do you think it will determine a design as the best one.

I have over 20 years of experience in solidworks and specialize in machine design and mold design.
I can also present the mold designs of the intermediate assembly parts. I can create designs in surface forms that will be pleasing to the eye.
You can also get my toy and cat sand cleaning shovel designs for cats here.

Thank you for your reference. However, we don&;t want to use any screwdriver in the assembly. But it still requires a screw in your reference.
