Plastics Engineer Needed
I am working out a proof of concept for a marine habitat and need an expert who understand techniques of pvc/vinyl or other plastic joinery, using specific glues and (initially) existing extruded shapes. I will provide sketches and my ideas. The plastics engineer will provide feedback and (later on) CAD.
Smart Bracelet - CAD Designer Contest for New Product
The e-touch The e-touch is a smart bracelet that has to be synced to your mobile device, when entering an event, meeting or club. When the connection between your mobile device and the e-touch is made, you can go ahead and 'e-Shake'. How does it work? When entering an event you’ll receive an e-Touch bracelet. By shaking hands with other people wearing an e-Touch, the bracelets connect and sync information trough your handshake, called the ”e-Shake”. The information received trough e-Shaking will be sent to an app, called Shake-on, on your mobile device which will store the information on your phone. Depending on your app settings/preferences the new information/friendship will be published on your Shake-on account (your personal page on the Shake-on social website).
Oyster Cage
I need some oyster pots. The wire mesh will be 1/2" and the sides and center support will be made out of plywood. The mesh will be plastic coated steel from Riverdale Mills (1/2" center to center). Cage will be a cylinder with a 12" radius and a length of 4 feet. There will be a 3/4" rod passing through the center. Unlike other cages, one end will open for loading and unloading the oysters. See theoysterguy.com faq pdf for an idea of what I am looking for. Also see attached picture. I have come up with one idea for closing the ends, but any other ideas will be appreciated. The parts will be cut out of 1/4" plywood and cut out on a cnc machine (shopbot). Parts will then be coated in epoxy to make them waterproof. I want ease of assembly. Notches to align wire mesh. Longitudal arms should notch into center piece and have tabs to align outer ends. There should be hole in the sides to allow for waterflow and leverage when closing and opening one end.
Adaptive snorkel
A snorkel with an inhaler mouthpiece and a mouth mask. It also have a strap to hold it on the user's face
Sprocket Assembly
I have a design that in appearance is similar to a sprocket and hollow shaft. There is a need for a 3D model that can be used for rapid prototyping/molding. The final design should be in Autocad 3D and as shown in the Sketch referred to as Fig. 9. Attached are two 2D Autocad drawings of the “Support” and a “Tube”. Also attached are two scanned images Fig 1, Fig 2 and Fig 3 of the changes with instructions. Originally the Tube and Support were designed as two separate parts to be assembled together, but the new design requires that they are to be made as one “Assembly” as shown in Fig. 3. The following changes have to be made to the Tube FIG 1: The Tube has to be reduced to 2 inch long. The top portion of the tube has to be deleted. The Tube Outer Diameter has to be increased to 7/8 inch and the wall is 1/8 inch. The Tube is now placed on the support aligning the Slit This makes the Tube and Support one piece called the “Assembly” For additional information see Fig 2 and Fig 3. The 3D drawing will be used for Rapid Prototyping. 1. I would need a 3D drawing in Autocad, and possibly also in one of the following formats IGES (.igs), and/or SolidWorks (.sldprt) and/or Stl that is generally used for Rapid Prototyping. 2. I will also need the 2D drawing of the Assembly in Autocad. This design is not to be distributed or used by anyone else without prior permission from me. All items sent to you must be destroyed or returned to me. Thank you, Frank
