You can establish a weekly limit for the hours your expert can bill for your hourly job. The limit can help you plan your job’s budget and maintain cost control.
You can choose the weekly limit when you send a job contract offer and hire an expert.
If you have already hired an expert, you can edit the weekly limit with the following steps:
- Go to your Job contracts > click the job contract
- Select the Terms & settings tab
- Click Weekly limit
- Change Limit to hours (see below)

Factors to take into account when you edit a job’s weekly limit:
- Increase weekly limit: The increased limit will update in real-time, and your expert can resume work if a weekly limit was already reached.
- Lower weekly limit: Your job contract will update immediately, and the expert won’t be able to log the time that exceeds the weekly limit. If your expert has already exceeded your lower limit for the current week, the excess hours are still billable, and no further hours can be logged for the current week (UTC timezone).
- Billing Security: The Billing Security policy only covers job contracts with weekly time limits and time logged by experts using the Cad Crowd Timer.
- Extra hours: If an expert has worked hours exceeding the weekly time limit, you can send a bonus if you decide to pay for the extra work.
- Flexibility: You can change the job contract’s work limit anytime to fit your budget. When you make changes, the expert will receive a notification email.
