Edit your profile visibility to public or private

Your expert profile visibility options allow you to manage your workload effectively. You can use the visibility to determine when, where, and with whom you collaborate by selecting the time and location of your profile’s appearance. Additionally, these settings influence how your profile is displayed on search engines like Google.

Adjusting your settings can assist in establishing transparent expectations for potential clients, preventing them from being disappointed if they contact you when you’re unavailable. This might also enhance your experience on Cad Crowd by minimizing the number of messages you receive when you’re occupied or not present.

Note: Search engines may take up to 24 hours for your changes to be reflected, and your profile could remain visible in search engines for a few additional days.

When you are away, on holiday, or want to prevent new job invites, mark your Work availability as Not available.

Steps to change expert profile visibility:

Your profile visibility options

  • Public: Your expert profile can be viewed on the entire internet, comprising clients, freelancers, and visitors, and it will also show search engines like Google and Bing. Choose this option if you want your Cad Crowd profile visible to anyone with internet access.
  • Cad Crowd members: Your freelancer profile is discoverable exclusively by logged-in Cad Crowd members and is not indexed in search engine results.
  • Private: We will remove your profile from the Cad Crowd platform and public search engines. As a result, clients will not find you when searching for experts. Individuals not logged into Cad Crowd cannot access your profile through a direct link. People that log in and have your profile URL can only view your first name, last initial, title, photo, hourly rate, and country.

Note: If you change your profile from Public to Private visibility, search engines may keep your public profile indexed for several weeks your profile is hidden in search results.
