About the job
I want someone to design a 2-wheel, rear-wheel drive electric kick scooter from scratch. The design should be in a way that is safe and comfortable to ride, aesthetic, compact & portable, and most importantly manufacturable. You will design it based on the guidelines, basic dimensions and reference pictures that will be shared with you after you are onboarded. You will use your engineering judgment/experience/research for dimensions/guidelines that are not specified.
This will be a collaborative project and alternate design ideas (that do not compromise the core design principles) are most welcome. We’ll also have timely regular discussions for progress checks and answer queries if you have any.
Wanted Features:
1. Dual Folding at the stem and handlebar
2. 2 Brakes set-up. Should be interchangeable
- Dual Disc
- Drum (F) + Disc (B)
3. 2 suspension setups with very few to no changes to the scooter body. Should be interchangeable
- Rubber Cartridge front & rear.
- Dual fork front + mono-shock rear
4. 2 LED indicator light setups. Should be interchangeable
- Front handlebar indicator lights
- Front + Rear Indicators
5. Head and Tail lamps
6. Swappable battery pack safely & securely accommodated inside the deck
7. 2 deck sizes for two different battery pack capacities. Battery pack dimensions will be given.
8. Display mounted on the handlebar with mechanical bell.
9. No visible cables/wires, Brake cables need to be routed from inside...
