About the job
I need a seasoned Civil Engineer for highways, to design a mini S278 plan for a new dropped kerb and a vehicle crossover. I need to someone to also help fill in the mini s278 form as well. The highway authority is Surrey County Council. https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/land-planning-and-development/planning/transport-development/alterations-to-existing-roads
My Local council has approved my architechts plans as per the attached. But Surrey County Council have advised I need a civil engineer for highways to design the same design and make it more technical with utilities etc. As this is not a standard VCO. (Vehicle Crosscover)
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in road design and improvements, specifically with S278 projects. Please provide examples of similar projects you've completed in your proposal.
Please be aware. I have already had my plans approved by my local council. Which were designed by my architect. So the same design needs to be done again with more technicalities and to the scale as per the guidance pack. Budget is £250 to design and help fill in the whole form. I appreciate a road safety audit maybe required and also utility searches. But the council have said they will confirm this once the initial application has been made.
Ideally I would need someone who is from the U.K. and specialises in Highway design for mini section 278 in the u.k. for vehicle crossover and dropped kerb to a residential property. The candidate must be U.K. re...
