We are seeking a skilled industrial designer to develop a four-port GaN-based fast charger suitable for both laptops and mobile devices. The charger should feature three USB-C ports and one USB-A port, each capable of delivering 100 watts, totaling 400 watts. The design must comply with Indian BIS and CE electrical certifications and incorporate cost-effective components. Additionally, the PCB should include test points to facilitate manufacturing testing.
Responsibilities:
Design a vertical-standing GaN charger with three USB-C ports (supporting PD protocol) and one USB-A port (supporting Quick Charge technology).
Incorporate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to optimize production efficiency.
Ensure compliance with Indian BIS and CE electrical standards.
Select cost-effective components without compromising quality.
Integrate test points on the PCB for manufacturing testing.
Requirements:
Proven experience in industrial design, particularly in power electronics.
Familiarity with GaN technology and high-power charging solutions.
Understanding of USB Power Delivery and Quick Charge protocols.
Knowledge of Indian BIS and CE certification requirements.
