  Duties and responsibilities.
  My role included assisting the Resident Engineer with the following:
  Structural Design and Engineering:
  • Participated in the design of various structures such as the Proposed Kenya National
  Highways Authority western regional offices and Box Culverts.
  • Developed engineering designs for road works and structures.
  Project Planning and Management:
  • Prepared short, medium, and long-term road works programs.
  • Developed project calendars and managed project timelines.
  • Conducted project appraisals and evaluations.
  Maintenance and Inspection:
  • Prepared annual road maintenance work programs.
  • Inspected and assessed road conditions through Annual Roads Inventory Conditions
  Survey.
  • Monitored and supervised road maintenance works to ensure compliance with standards.
  Procurement and Contract Management:
  • Managed tender documentation and reviews.
  • Issued work instructions to contractors and monitored compliance.
  Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Prepared road investment programs for road networks.
  • Facilitated Public-Private Partnership arrangements.
