Experience

  • Design Lead AXIX GP LLC · Full-time Sep 2024 – Present 2 mos Phoenix, AZ, United States Roles Include:
    - Design and develop a passenger Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) aircraft for Urban Air Mobility (UAM) applications.
    - Utilize expertise in aerodynamics and rotor systems to design a conceptual model of the VTOL aircraft featuring four rotors with pitch control.
    - Develop a MATLAB program based on Blade Element Momentum Theory (BEMT) to determine the optimum blade airfoil and define pitch angles for efficient rotor performance.
    - Conduct Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis on the complete aircraft fuselage to evaluate aerodynamic characteristics and optimize performance.
    - Perform system-level integration and testing of the VTOL aircraft, verifying performance and compliance with safety standards and regulations.
