My name is Moein Shams, and I’m a CG artist. I have an M.A degree in English literature (which means I’m absolutely fluent in English), and since my father was a visual artist I’ve been learning fine arts like drawing, sculpting, painting since I was a child.
A mixture of ultimate passion and curiosity towards computer animation has helped me learn multiple software at the same time. Since, I started learning I was never satisfied with a singular application exclusively. First, I started with Maya, and since there was a great debate about the clash between Maya and 3Ds Max, I learned them simultaneously beside one another, and for the time being, I know both of them like my mother tongue. Then I decided to learn Cinema 4D and the ease and convenience of this software has made 3D animation more like a fun game than a challenge. And by the advent of Blender 2.8 I made up my mind (just like any other 3D artist) to reconsider using blender for production, and as a result I fell in love with how easily you can create 3D content in blender. Needless to say that, the Evee and Cycles are a handy rendering approach that any CG artist would appreciate.

I studied in this major due to my special interest in English poetry and literature, in addition to literary criticism. However, my fine arts have been my main obsession since childhood. Furthermore, since my father was a professor in visual and fine arts, I learned various skills from him since I was only 5. I practiced sculpting, drawing, painting and even calligraphy in his school.
