Electrical Engineer, having Eight (08) years of experience in Electrical Design of projects pertaining to Brown & Green Field. The area of work includes Oil & Gas, FMCGs, Process and Power industries. BUILDING ELECTRICAL DESIGN EXPERTISE

• Formulation of load requirements considering lighting systems, power systems, HVAC package, Slop water package, Fire fighting systems, BMS systems, CCTV, LAN Voice, Façade lighting and other utilities as per building size and project requirements.
• Design/calculation/selection of Basic electrical generation and distribution system/philosophies such as (selection of Voltage levels LV/MV, initial short circuit calculations).
• Design of Utility power connection and distribution schemes.
• Design of Utility power and emergency generation/distribution systems by sizing and placement of generators and MDBs and Sub distribution boards.
• Space marking layouts for electrical equipments and cable ducts requirements.
• Detail Designing of Key SLDs and their protection and control Schemes considering Bus bar arrangements, couplers, operating scenarios, synchronization/transfer schemes etc).
• Selection of control voltages for switchgear/Generators/BMS (UPS/DC rectifier), considering Power failure.
• Detailed Electrical Design / layouts for Lighting, Power, Earthing, CCTV, Fire alarm, DATA, Telephone, Public address, Access Control & Lightning protection systems etc
• Specifications and datasheets of Major electrical equipments for installation and procurement etc.
• LUX level calculations on DIALUX.
• Calculations for Earthing, Lightning protection systems.
• Power cable schedule, selection of cables glands, Isolators etc.
• Load Distribution Schedule.
• Typical Installation details and sectional views.
• Generation of MEP coordination layouts and Shop drawings.
• Generating of BOQ and MEP technical tender package.
• Review dossiers submittals & close-out activities and documentation management including As-Builts, O&M manuals, and Guarantee & Warranty certificates etc.

PLANT ELECTRICAL DESIGN EXPERTISE

• Formulation of load list considering package loads, P&IDs, Civil building and utilities requirements, HVAC, Fire fighting, generator auxiliaries and other electrical consumers.
• Design/calculation/selection of Basic electrical generation and distribution system/philosophies such as (selection of Voltage levels LV/MV, initial short circuit calculations).
• Selection of optimum location for generation/distribution systems by initial sizing and placement of generators and Distribution schemes. Selection of locations for power house and Main Distribution boards considering minimum cable lengths and Hazardous envelope.
• Detail Designing of Key SLDs and their protection and control Schemes considering Bus bar arrangements, couplers, operating scenarios, synchronization/transfer schemes etc).
• Selection of control voltages for switchgear/Generators/PLC/DCS (UPS/DC rectifier), considering Power failure and black start of plant etc.
• Selection of Motor control mechanism Local and Auto mode interfacing with PLC/DCS/ESD/Load shedding Schemes.
• Preparation of detailed Scope of works for EPC & PC packages, Electrical Design Basis of projects, specifications and datasheets of Major electrical equipments etc.
• Detailed ETAP based Network Analysis for Short Circuit, Load Flow and Motor Starting.
• Designing of sub distribution schemes for normal and emergency electrical users (UPS / DC rectifier).
• Electrical design of Power house buildings and Switchgear/MCC rooms (Sizing of Rooms, Cable Route selection via cable trenches, cable cellar, cable trays segregating the distances between the different voltage level cables etc).
• Plant Cable routing Layouts (Underground cable trenches, Overhead cable bridges, Cable trays/conduits network, cable entries to buildings, packages, skids, etc).
• Marking of Hazardous Area Classification layouts as per API 500 and API 505 and Attended HAZOP sessions.
• Design/Calculations for Earthing, NGR, Lightning protection systems.
• Design for Plant lighting system, LUX level calculations, Sockets power distribution etc.
• Power and control cable schedule, selection of cables glands, JB schedule.
• Cathodic protection system for tanks & pipelines.
• Providing instruction and support to electrical designers for the preparation of electrical equipment layout, cable routing plans, Power & Lighting layouts, grounding layouts, building electrification, typ installation detail drawings etc.
• Generating RFQ with extraction of MTO and BOQ from design and providing procurement assistance.
• 3D modeling of the electrical equipments to avoid clashes from other equipments and UG services coordination.
